Week Thirty Two

What's going on with her?

Size? 16.7 long
Weight? 3.75 pounds

This is when your little one starts to put on almost all of their weight, and get ready for their grand entrance into the world! Yay!
Your little one maybe a little like mine also and give you a nice surprise when you go to your doctor and find out that they are already head down! This is when things start to get real exciting!
As for mommy?

Staying out of breath and that heartburn giving you frequent visits is totally normal! Not fun, but normal. If you notice that you are getting out of breath it is because your uterus is pushing up towards your diaphragm. So just keep in mind your getting close to the end! This week was my first baby shower and I loved it! I suggest you have one, it's so much fun and a great way to relax with your friends and family, not to mention all the great gifts and if your having a girl also the cutest clothes! Make sure you have fun with it.

Week Thirty One

What's going on with her?

Size? 16 inches long, like carrying four navel oranges
Weight? 3.3 pounds

She is hitting her first growth spurt! She can now turn her head from side to side, and kick like never before you may feel like she is doing somersaults! But when she is keeping you up at night because of her kicks and punches just try to enjoy every minute of it!

As for mommy?

Back pain! Before I got pregnant when I would hear pregnant women complain about back pain I always thought for some reason that it was their lower back that hurt them, I guess because I would always see them hold their back. For me though, it's right between my shoulder blades! I have been told that it is because of my little basketball weighing me down and making me slouch. So if you start to feel pain like me try your best to keep your back straight when sitting or standing and you can also try a heating pad at night, just not to hot.

Week Thirty

What's going on with her?

Size? 15.7 inches long
Weight? 3 pounds

She is still growing. Her eyesight is improving and is putting on what so many people seem to love, that baby fat. She is looking more and more like a newborn every day.

As for mommy?

You probably seem a little more tired and moodier than usual, but like I told you before the third trimester is similar to the first not to much fun. Now is when you may start to get braxton hicks  contractions though, I know I have. They say that for everyone they may feel a little different, mine feel like period like cramps. They haven't been constant, but if you start to see a pattern forming definitely go to the hospital and give your doctor a call. Some things to help when you do have them is to sit down, drink a glass of water and just relax. They shouldn't last very long.

Week Twenty Nine

What's going on with her?

Size? 15 inches long
Weight? 2 1/2 pounds

She is soaking up a lot of calcium, protein, vitamin C, folic acid and iron. So make sure that you drink up some orange juice and milk, eat bananas, and eat some yogurt.

As for mommy?

Leg cramps! I have experienced some of the worst leg cramps.. EVER. Don't let your leg cramps get as bad as mine before you do something about them! Make sure you get your bananas or if you don't like bananas talk to your doctor and see what they suggest. Definitely try to avoid them though!

Weight? Two and quarter pounds

She now has eye lashes and her eyesight is developing. She may be able to see light through your womb now and during your last trimester is when your little one will gain most of her weight for when she enters the world!

As for mommy?

Welcome to the third trimester! We are now in the home stretch, you will now start to see your doctor every two weeks then at thirty six weeks you will start to go every week! In your third trimester you should expect to gain at least eleven pounds which will welcome some serious leg cramps.

Week Twenty Seven

What's going on with her?

Size? 14 1/2 inches long
Weight? 2 pounds

Her brain is developing even faster now, she can now suck her thumb, open and close her eyes and may occasionally get the hiccups. It's perfectly okay for her to get the hiccups and don't hurt her a bit so just sit back and enjoy them as you may feel a little bit of a tickle.

As for mommy?

Congratulations! You have made it to the end of your second trimester, as you may have noticed you may have not had as many complaints as you did in the first, but I hope that you enjoyed it while you could. Go ahead and warn your partner that the complaints may just double in the last trimester, this is when most women have the most. So buckle up and get ready! It's getting close to the end.

Week Twenty Six

What's going on with her?

Size? 14 inches long
Weight? A pound and two thirds

Your baby is starting to inhale some of the amniotic fluid, which is essential for the proper development of their lungs.

As for mommy?

Heartburn, is all I have to say! I have been experiencing some of the worst heartburn! There is a positive twist to everything though, I have heard that it means that she is growing a lot of hair. Which if you having a girl that is especially great news because that means bows galore!  Also there is ways to make it go away, first and foremost tums, also drinking warm water. So if you start to experience some heartburn stop it quick before it gets to bad.
